Did you know?

Hucab Elementary School has around 140 students and a staff of nine.

94% of the parents are subsistance farmers or gardeners, 3% in micro business , 2% wood carvers and 1% government employees.

Location

Hucab is a barangay in the municipality of Kiangan in the mountainous Ifugao Province in the north of the Philippines.

Communications

Due to it's position accessible by a narrow slippery, especially in the rainy season, road as well as the current Covid restrictions the students and teachers face substancial difficulties in following the modular based learning system.

It is seen as under developed in terms of learning materials, equipment and school facilities.

How we help

Initially we provided photocopying paper to help with the on going modular education.

Due to the ongoing situation with Covid in February 2021 we decided to make a further donation of more photocopying paper.

In July 2021 awards of supplies to three graduating students were provided to help them in their first year of High School. Congratulations and well done to Alondrey Lyka Balanti, Alkhane Kim Buligon and Denver Ballogan.
